How to keep your Zoom Meetings Secure:

  1. Controlling Chat Access
    1. Click Chat in the Meeting Controls.
    2. At the bottom of the in-meeting Zoom Group Chat window, click More, and then choose ‘Host Only’ under ‘Allow attendees to chat with’.
  2. To prevent participants from screen sharing:
    1. Click the arrow next to Share Screen at the bottom of the window and click Advanced Sharing Options.
    2. Under ‘Who can share?’ choose ‘Only Host’.
    3. Close the window. 
  3. To Mute Permanently
    1. Select ‘Manage Participants’ at the bottom of the window.
    2. Select ‘Mute All’
    3. A new dialogue box will appear. Uncheck the box next to ‘Allow participants to unmute themselves.’ Click Continue.
  4. If an individual needs to be removed from the zoom meeting, follow the below steps
    1. To Remove an Attendee, their name will appear at the bottom of the screen.
    2. If the Participants panel is not visible, click Manage Participants at the bottom of the Zoom window.
    3. Next to the person you want to remove, click More.
    4. From the list that appears, click Remove.
